NFL Draft

It's that time of year again, the NFL draft witch is when teams select the players of the future. With the NFL owners locking out the players all of the fans at the draft booed the Commissioner Roger Goodell and chanted "we want football" witch I loved, and after the Commissioner finished introducing the 2011 hall of fame class (Deion Sanders, Marshall Faulk, Shannon Sharp, Richard Dent, Ed Sabol, Les Richter and Chris Hanburger) and the rookies who came to the draft the draft started. with the first pick the Carolina Panthers got QB out of Auburn Cam Newton This pick looks good Cam is a big QB who is mobile and can throw it deep, but I don't like this pick. When I see Cam and here people talk about how he's a big strong QB who has a cannon for a arm I think about the first overall pick from 2007 JaMarcus Russsell who all the draft expert said was a big strong QB who has a cannon for a arm, the only thing Cam has that JaMarcus didn't is mobility if Carolina finds a way to utilize Cam I think he will have a good career I dont think he will be a starting QB but if Carolina moves him to TE or FB I think he could contribute to the team and add some good trick plays the the Panthers could run. I think Carolina should have drafted A.J Green to help Jimmy Clausen. The Minnesota Vikings used the number 12 pick to get Florida State QB Christian Ponder a QB who i think would have been left at pick 43 for them. besides those picks I liked the draft and thought most teams got guy who can come in a help the team. My favorite pick was Von Miller who the Denver broncos took at number 2, this guy reminds me of Julius Peppers and with John Fox being the new head coach in Denver I think we will see some good things out of Von Miller. Now that the draft is over it's time for evry fan of the NFL to start praying that the lockout ends and the NFL can get back to football.
